The Elgar Centre has playing fields and 3 football pitches available to hire. The centre is the home of Northampton Hotspurs

Upton is adjacent to the Sixfields leisure area with many restaurants, a multi-screen Cineworld cinema, Ten Pin Bowling, Nuffield Health gym and Sixfields Stadium. Sixfields Stadium is home to Northampton Town FC.

The parish is also a modest walk from Franklin's Gardens, the home of Northampton Saints Rugby Union.
