Upton has a good range of sporting and recreation opportunities.
The Elgar Centre hosts a range of fitness activities for all ages. See their What's On page for details of regular classes.
The Elgar Centre also has playing fields and 3 football pitches available to hire. The centre is the home of Northampton Hotspurs.
St Crispin's Retirement Village has a small gym facility with membership open to non-residents.
Upton is adjacent to the Sixfields leisure area with many restaurants, a multi-screen Cineworld cinema, Ten Pin Bowling, Nuffield Health gym and Sixfields Stadium. Sixfields Stadium is home to Northampton Town FC.
The parish is also a modest walk from Franklin's Gardens, the home of Northampton Saints Rugby Union.
